College Steering Group

The College Steering Group is made up of the College Secretary who is a member of the College Executive and responsible for Equality and Diversity in the College, the Deputy Principal (Quality and Standards), Human Resources Manager, 2 members of staff and 2 students with disabilities, Communications Manager, 2 members of the academic staff representing HE and FE, Academic Manager Learning Support and the Property Manager. The group will run until July 2007 and is tasked with:

• Developing and publishing the Disability Equality Scheme and Action Plan by December 2006.
• Overseeing the implementation of the scheme for the first six months
• Ensuring that the subsequent monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriately transferred to other management groups
• Report to the College Executive and Governors on progress of implementation

The DES and Action Plan will be subject to approval by the College Governors.
