Impact Assessments

The College will access the impact of its current policies, procedures, services and functions or the likely impact of new policies, procedures, services and functions on equality for disabled persons. Obviously the College cannot look at all these procedures before the publishing of the scheme but it is intended that this should be achieved during the lifetime of the first scheme which is three years. The Steering Committee is made up of members representing all the major areas of the College and each representative has audited their own area for its impact on equality and where barriers have been found this has formed the basis of the action plan.
