Monitoring, Evaluation and
Review
The College will ensure that relevant members of staff are given the necessary and appropriate training in order to fulfil their responsibilities, including for implementing aspects of the Scheme.
The Equal Opportunities Committee together initially with the Steering Group will be responsible on behalf of the Board of Governors for monitoring and evaluating progress against the action plan set out in the Disability Equality Scheme. The Committee will receive regular reports from those identified within the action plan with responsibility for particular actions and developments, using the targets and timetable in the plan. Amendments to the plan may be made where actions appear not to be effective, and additional monitoring data may be required.
The Equal Opportunities Committee will report at least annually to the Board of Governors on implementation of the Scheme, its impact within the College and on the experience of staff and students. This will include a review of the quantitative data relating to disabled staff and students. In preparing its report, the Committee will seek input from its staff and student advisory groups on the impact that the scheme is having within the College.
This first Disability Equality Scheme will be reviewed after three years
There will be ongoing consultation with disabled staff and students to obtain feedback on what is working well, improvements that might be made and adjustments to the plan.
