About the Equine Centre of Vocational Excellence
The top three providers of Equine Education (Hartpury College , Bishop Burton College (opens in a new window) , and Warwickshire College (opens in a new window)) have collaborated to form tri-regional Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE).
The highly prestigious Equine CoVE status has been awarded to the three colleges by the Learning and Skills Council to show recognition of the outstanding training, facilities and support offered by the colleges. The CoVE bid involved the three colleges putting forward a combined development plan that met the CoVE criteria.
Aims
The main aims of the development plan for the three colleges are:
- Improving achievement and retention at Level 3
- Widening participation into equine training
- Creating improved links between the equine industry and college-based training
- Creating an excellent learning environment
- Disseminating good practice to other equine providers
