Livery Options Academic Year 2010 / 2011

For the 2010/2011 academic year, Hartpury College is able to offer four DIY options to students:

OPTION ONE – Compulsory for First Year Further Education students. (National Diploma/Certificate & A’Levels).

First Year Further Education students have an extremely full timetable, which is often combined with being away from home for the
first time. Their timetable will include lectures, practicals, yard work and weekend duties. We therefore strongly recommend that first year ND students do not bring horses on DIY livery. Should you choose to however, this is the only livery option available and it will be necessary for parents to give written consent that they have taken the workload into consideration before booking a stable.
Option 1 is situated at the College Equestrian Centre, alongside the College School horses and with a dedicated member of staff to
supervise the liveries and provide practical and pastoral support. Limited hay and straw is included (cushionbed by agreement and
at additional cost) with shared storage facilities. Students have access to all Equestrian Centre facilities when not in college use.
Restricted turnout is available depending upon weather and ground conditions.

Available at £1,854 per Academic year (equivalent to £51.50 per week)

OPTION TWO

Situated at the College Equestrian Centre, a self-contained barn of sixteen stables, each with its own tack and forage store. Students will have access to the Equestrian Centre facilities when not in college use. Restricted turnout is available depending upon weather and ground conditions. Limited hay and straw is included, (cushionbed is available by agreement at additional cost). Numbers are strictly limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Available at £ 1,746 per Academic year (equivalent to £48.50 per week)

OPTION THREE

Situated at the College Equestrian Centre, places are available on the College yard wherever there are vacant stables. Tack and
storage facilities will be shared with other DIY students choosing this option, or with horses loaned to the College. Students will have access to all Equestrian Centre Facilities when not in college use. Restricted turnout is available depending upon weather and ground conditions. Limited hay and straw is included, (cushionbed is available by agreement at additional cost).

Available at £ 1,566 per Academic year (equivalent to £43.50 per week)

OPTION FOUR (Only available to students with their own transport)

Situated on a yard in the nearby village of Maisemore. The yard has 16 stables, an Indoor School and Outdoor Arena and the fields
are newly fenced with post and electric. To include stable, grazing and full use of the facilities at Maisemore and the facilities at the
College Equestrian Centre when not in college use.
