Application
Process
The College has approximately 1000 bedspaces in its Halls of Residence on campus as well as over 110 places in College managed houses located within Gloucester and near Newent. You can apply for accommodation once you have received an offer of a place on your chosen course. An accommodation application form will be sent with your offer letter.
Due to the number of students that apply to Hartpury, we unfortunately are unable to provide accommodation for every student. Please apply for your accommodation as early as you can to avoid disappointment. Accommodation application forms are processed following the College’s approved Accommodation Allocation policy. It is important that you send in your accommodation application form to us as soon as possible as the date it is received can determine the type of accommodation available to you.
Priority is given to under 18 students who, in normal circumstances, will be allocated a room. Priority is also given to International students, students who need to be on campus for early or late duties as an integral part of their course, students with DIY livery and first year students. However, please do try applying for a halls place if you are in your 2nd or 3rd year of study as rooms may be available. Please note that all 2nd and 3rd year students must apply for accommodation each year.
If you decide to withdraw from residency before the end of the academic year, you will be required to pay the accommodation fees for the remainder of the academic year, unless the room is re-let to a student who is not already a Hartpury resident. Also if you are in receipt of a grant and decide to withdraw from residency before the end of the academic year, the grant may cease and you will become responsible for paying the accommodation fees for the remainder of the academic year, unless the room is re-let to a student who is not already a Hartpury resident.
