Colourful Coffee Morning

Judy & Philip Shaw of The Firs, Maisemore, recently opened their colourful and beautifully tended garden to the Maisemore Group RDA and organised a fund-raising coffee morning.

Judy is a long-standing volunteer with the group and plants were donated by friends and other volunteers for a plant stall along with a plentiful quantity of cakes with many beautifully decorated including Jubilee cup cakes. The event was wonderfully supported by friends and neighbours from wide area and raised a fantastic £500 for the Group.

The Maisemore Group RDA this year celebrates 40 years of providing and delivering opportunities for therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities. Established in 1972 with weekly sessions being at held at Maisemore by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Ted Bubb, the Group relocated to the equine centre at Hartpury College in 2007.
