Hartpury College were crowned as ECFA Champions following a convincing 5-0 win in yesterday's play-off final against Monkseaton HS from Tyneside.

The final, played at the home of BlueSquare Conference Borehamwood, provided Hartpury with its third successive national U19 championship and the College's fourth in five years.  The game itself was goal-less at the break, but in the second half Hartpury cut loose to underline their credentials as the best college football team in the country.

Lamin Sankoh settled any nerves with two well-taken goals in a three minute spell immediately after half time.  Matt Liddiard's header made the game safe, but Hartpury continued to add to their tally with good strikes from the lively Jordan Turner and the man who later replaced him up front, Rob Panting.

Matt Liddiard was deservedly named as Man of the Match, although congratulations go the whole squad, as well as to team manager Paul Tassell and all of his coaches.
