NCFE Level 1 and 2 Army Preparation students have been on a mission to raise £5000 for the Help for Heroes charity. So far, the students have raised just short of £3000 from two days of collecting money in Cheltenham town centre. The fundraising will culminate in a 100km trek from St Ives to Lizard in Cornwall from the 28th to the 31st May 2012.

Tutor, Tim Treloar, said: “Fundraising, especially for such a good cause, is a great way for the students to contribute something to the community. I hope that the trek will be a highlight of the students’ time at Hartpury and the fundraising will give them the motivation to complete the whole 100km.”

Last year’s students raised a total of £4300 and it is hoped that the total amount raised this year will match this, or better yet, exceed it.

Good luck to all the students involved!
