Hat-trick for Britton as Hartpury overpower
Lydney
On Saturday a weakened Lydney side found themselves to be no match for a fit, adventurous and committed Hartpury team.
Lydney has suffered many injuries in the past few weeks and found themselves lacking quality in certain positions which were exploited by the home side. Hartpury played a quick game full of tempo, with ball in hand, good recycling and keeping position; all of which resulted in several opportunities to score tries.
Man of the Match was hooker Koree Britton who scored a hat-trick, but he was one of several players who could have won the award. This was a team effort in which the forwards provided a continuous supply of good quality possession for the backs to exploit the spaces that appeared in the defence.
Final score: Hartpury College RFC 62 – 10 Lydney RFC
