Jamie Cooke is the new Modern Pentathlon World Junior
Champion
Pentathlon GB athlete Jamie Cooke ended a busy week by becoming Junior World Modern Pentathlon Champion in Argentina on Monday.
Jamie from Andoversford near Cheltenham has trained at Hartpury College for the last three years as a member of the Great Britain World Class Development Programme. He trained regularly with the Hartpury Modern Pentathlon Academy athletes benefitting from the competition and the availability of the top class facilities and coaching available. He also attended the monthly World Class Development training weekends held at Hartpury. He is now training at the National Training Centre in Bath.
Previously as a Youth ‘A’ athlete, Jamie has been European Champion and World Championship Silver medallist. He is the only current male British athlete that has qualified for the Olympic Games.
