Thomas Boakye selected for the Ghanaian Under 20
team
Thomas Boakye has been selected for the Ghanaian Under 20 National Team.
Boakye studied at Hartpury for the past two years on a Further Education course. He left Hartpury in July and is due back in semester 2 to study on a Higher Education degree programme. Boakye left Hartpury to pursue opportunities in the professional game for a six month period.
He has been rewarded for his hard work and dedication to his football and travels with the Ghanaian team as per the links above.
Thomas commented:
“I am absolutely delighted to be picked for the Ghanaian Under 20 team. My aim is to be a professional footballer and I hope this will be the next step in my career. I played for England Schools and England Colleges teams over the past two years while studying at Hartpury College and feel this helped my game a lot.”
“I completed my Further Education course last year and was aiming to study on a degree programme from January 2012 but I will see how things progress over the next few weeks. I owe a great deal to the football academy staff at Hartpury especially Tom Radcliffe and Tim Jenkins and would recommend the football programme to anyone. My intention would be to complete my degree at Hartpury at some point. ”
