Hartpury students take part in academic exchange programme with Delaware Valley College in the
USA
Three Hartpury students Sian Ellis, Alice Chatham and Lucy Tearle have taken part in an academic exchange programme with Delaware Valley College in the American state of Pennsylvania. The girls are all BSc (Hons) Equine Science students and will be based in Pennsylvania for this academic semester. The girls took part in dressage trials and Sian and Alice made it on the Delaware Valley College Dressage Team and will be representing their new college, as well as Hartpury, in competitions during their four month stay in the States.
Hartpury College has participated in an exchange programme for a number of years and has welcomed many Delaware students to the UK, but this has been the first occasion in a few years that Hartpury students have visited the States. Kirsty McDonald, Senior Lecturer (International Support), said: "I am really pleased that students from Hartpury have been able to take part in the exchange we operate with Delaware and hope that they will benefit enormously from this experience. I'm thrilled and proud of all three students and know that they will be excellent ambassadors for Hartpury during their time in the States."
