Pope continues winning habit with victory in Devon County Amateur Championships

Hartpury College Golf Academy student, Ryan Pope, continued his recent winning form by claiming the Men’s Devon Amateur County Championships at Teignmouth Golf Club.  Ryan returned two very impressive one under par scores of 68 for a two under par total, a slender one shot winning margin.  It was made all the more impressive by the fact that Ryan knew he had a 12 foot putt on the last hole to win the Gold Medal, which he duly holed for the victory.

The win comes on the back of the National Title he won at the ICT Players’ Championships two weeks ago and the Four Counties Individual Title that he also won recently, completing a very memorable hat trick during the past month.
