Equine Academy Selection

Applications to join the Elite Squad are invited from Event riders who have competed successfully at CCI**/CIC**, from Dressage riders who are Grade 5 (who have won points at Medium Level) and from Showjumpers who have competed successfully at 1.20m Level.

Applications to join the Development Squad are invited from Event riders who have gained points at British Eventing Novice Level, from Dressage riders who are Grade 6 (who have won points at Elementary Level) and Showjumpers who have won money at BS 1.10m Level.

How to apply

Send a covering letter to the Director of the Equine Academy by 30th of June of the year of entry enclosing the following:

• Competitive CV
• Reference from your trainer
• DVD or video of you riding in a recent competition

PLEASE NOTE: Could all potential academy riders who are planning on bringing a horse with them to college, please apply for a DIY livery stable early in the year. For example, if you are planning on starting at Hartpury in September, you will need to send in your application accompanied by the deposit as early as the previous January. The DIY stables are very popular so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
