Where are they
now?
Dani Cuomo

Dani attended Hartpury College between 2007 and 2009, and studied for a BSc (Hons) Equine Science degree.
During her time at Hartpury Dani won Team Gold at the Young Rider European Championships at Blair Castle in 2007 and was place 10th individually. The following year at the Young Rider European Championships in Kreuth, Germany, Dani won Team Gold once more and was placed 5th individually.
Dani is now studying for a Masters Degree in Mctimoney Animal Manipulation. Dani says, "I have always wanted to study this course which was the reason I did my degree in Equine Science, and once I have finished I will pursue a career in Mctimoney Manipulation."
Dani's horse, Ballin Willow, has recently recovered from an injury, and she hopes that he will be fit enough to start eventing again next year. Dani says' "I will work him back up to 3 star, and if he remains fit hopefully further. I have a lovely 5 year old who has started his eventing career this year, finishing with BE100. I am hoping he will go to novice next year."
The following video shows Dani competing in the 2006 Junior European Eventing Championships at Necarne Castle.
Sophie Griffith-Jones

Sophie attended Hartpury from 2005-2008 and studied for a BA Equine Business Management.
Speaking about her time at Hartpury, Sophie says, "When I first attended Hartpury I was competing at BE Novice level, achieving pretty average results. During my time at Hartpury I was selected for the Equine Academy which took me from strength to strength. Through the training and support of the Academy I very quickly upgraded to Intermediate level. Within a year I had won an Intermediate and upgraded to 2 star level, putting me in contention for the European Young Rider squad. After trials and plenty of extra training sessions I was selected to go to the European Championships, something I would never have dreamed of when I first arrived at Hartpury."
Upon leaving Hartpury, Sophie received a job offer from International 3 Day Event Rider Ruth Edge. Sophie says, "This was fantastic experience. I took my own horse and competed at BE Advanced level, as well as helping Ruth to train young horses and receiving lessons on the more experienced ones. " Sophie stayed with Ruth Edge for a season before returning home to set up a base.
Sophie then applied for the Regional Foundation Training Programme, which has the goal of being a stepping stone for riders on to the World Class programme. After selection and trials Sophie was accepted onto the programme, and now receives regular training and advice. Sophie says, "This season I have completed three Advanced competitions with Seaboy, who is going from strength to strength. I also have a three year old that I have broken who is being aimed at BYEH next year, and a five year old who will be aimed at BE100 classes to start the season."
Charlie Bays

Charlie David Bays attended Hartpury College from 2005-2008 studying Equine Sport Science. He was on the Elite Squad of the Equine Academy as a Show Jumper.
During his time at Hartpury Charlie competed successfully in the BSJA shows onsite and in the region, competed successfully at Hickstead every year, and had a successful performance in the first Hartpury Spectacular in 2007.

Since then Charlie took his horse over to Brazil and he has been competing very successfully in the 1.40m-1.45m Grand Prixs, with many wins in the regional 1.40m competitions and now has a professional show jumping career.

Daniel Bremner

Upon leaving Hartpury College, Daniel moved to Carl Hester's yard. He was there for just short of a year and was extremely lucky getting to ride the babies up to the Grand Prix horses with lots of competition opportunities - Chagall, Being Bling etc.

Daniel then freelanced until beginning of September '09, before enrolling at Edinburgh University.
Since leaving Edinburgh Daniel shares a small business, and does lots of teaching back in Sussex.
