Overview

The Academy has been in existence since 2002 and has gone from strength to strength in the years that have followed.  Notable achievements during this time include being crowned British University Champions in both 2007, 2008 and again this year 2011, BUCS National Futsal trophy winners 2011, English Colleges Champions in 2008, 2010 and retained the trophy this year, 2011. We have also been crowned England Schools U18 Champions in 2009 and 2010.

The Hartpury College Football Academy is split into two sections; Junior and Senior.  The Junior section caters for the further education side of the college and includes players aged 16-19 years, whilst the Seniors are made up of higher education students on degree or foundation degree programmes aged 18 years and upwards.

Please view the Junior and Senior sections of the website for further details on their structure.

All members of the Academy are enrolled on full time academic courses and benefit from the outstanding training facilities at the college, which include 3 good quality grass pitches, a floodlit rubber crumb and a fully equipped weights gym. Football training sessions are intertwined with lessons and lectures during the academic year allowing the players to develop their football abilities whilst also honing their educational talents.

A recent development in the structure of the Academy has seen the college cultivate an extremely positive relationship with League 2 side Cheltenham Town.  The aim of the link is to provide academy players with a realistic exit route into the professional football ranks through the provision of first team, reserve and youth football.

For more information on the partnership with Cheltenham Town please visit the Cheltenham Town section of the website.
