Junior
Academy
The Junior Academy is made up of players aged 16 – 19 years who study either a Further Education programme or A Levels at Hartpury.
There are 2 teams that play at Junior level; The Academy 1st team, the 2nd team and also the Development squad.
The Academy 1st team is the strongest of the three and includes players who are able to compete at the highest level of college netball, in which they compete in the British Colleges Sport (BCS) Superleague. In addition to this, they also play in the BCS Cup Competition and the National Schools Competition.
The Academy 2nd team currently competes in the BCS West Midlands League and also the BCS West Midlands Cup. Alongside the two academy sides, there is also a Development Squad. This is made up of promising players who have the potential to progress into the Academy 2nd team, and train alongside those within the 2nd team squad.
