Sarah Pretty

Sarah is responsible for all elements of the Hartpury Netball Academy and the technical, tactical and practical aspects of the AASE scheme.  As the Netball Academy Manager, Sarah will oversee the running of the junior academy.  She has a great deal of experience, both as a player and a coach, which has ranged from Club Level to University to Regional and even experiences in International Netball.

A vastly experienced level two qualified coach, Sarah currently coaches at the Regional Talent and Performance Centre and also Randwick Netball Club in Gloucestershire County and Junior League.

Sarah’s coaching skills took her to New Zealand in 2010, where she spent 5 months with the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic franchise team, who house a world class coach and 4 world class Silver Fern players and play in ANZ Champs. Being present at matches and training sessions, Sarah has been able to experience what is necessary to represent Netball at the highest level and how to bridge the links to the upcoming athletes.

In addition to her coaching, Sarah still plays Gloucestershire Premier League and umpires as a C-Award Umpire, all contributing to all round knowledge of the game and will assist her to complete her Level 3 coaching qualification. She graduated from Bristol University in 2007 with a Batchelor of Science Honors Degree and has completed Emergency First Aid course and Safeguarding Children and A1 Assessor qualification.

At Hartpury Netball Academy Sarah will also be holding tutorials and lectures in Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence.
