Senior Academy

The Senior Academy is comprised of students enrolled at UWE Hartpury on higher education courses.

The Higher Education students participate in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championships on Wednesdays. The 1^st XV are placed in Premier South A alongside the best university sides in the south of England and South Wales, with the 2^nd XV and 3^rd XV competing in Premier South B and Western Conference 1A respectively, the two leagues immediately below. UWE Hartpury has enjoyed tremendous success in the BUCS competitions over the years, with the 1^st XV winning the Championship at Twickenham for three consecutive years between 2007 and 2009 and the other two teams gaining multiple promotions.

Senior Academy players also form the majority of the Hartpury RFC squad, which competes in National Division Two South on Saturdays - for more information on Hartpury RFC, please visit its webpage in this section of the website.
