The RFU Beacon College Award

Hartpury is proud to have been recognised with the Beacon College Award by the RFU in August 2009. The Beacon Award reflects the standards that Hartpury has set in providing rugby to students while combining a full range of educational opportunities.

Barry Maddocks, Head of AASE, comments on the award:
“It is a testament to the hard work of both staff and students here at Hartpury College that we have been awarded Beacon status by the RFU. The award recognises that the College is offering a great environment for rugby players to develop while combining their sport with academic work. Hartpury Rugby has been tremendously successful over the last few years with many players making international sides and playing for top-class teams, as well as the Hartpury team gaining promotion year on year.”
