Hartpury College offers a first-class training venue for football and rugby clubs from across the county. With a growing national sporting reputation, Hartpury has invested over £5 million since 1999 to improve the facilities on campus and now boast some of the best sports facilities in the South West region.

Our two state-of-the-art Rubber Crumb pitches have been constructed using the latest Third Generation (3G) technology approved by both the FA and the RFU. These all-weather pitches are available for professional and amateur football and rugby clubs looking for a training venue, or a venue for sports events, tournaments and competitions.

Features:
• Can be used all year round – no calling off games because of a waterlogged pitch!
• More durable – can be played on more frequently and for longer periods
• Full size pitches – or can be used as half pitches ideal for juniors and smaller games
• Floodlit – can be used at any time of the day
• Proven to lessen the potential for injuries compared to a grass pitch

Football Rubber Crumb
Third Generation (3G) surfaces are FIFA and FA approved and the most modern of the carpets, developed to replicate natural turf, with outstanding performance, reduced ball bounce and low resistance to turning and sliding so = greater safety for players and no bald patches.

Rugby Rubber Crumb
Goodbye to wet, muddy, slippery ground and hello to natural-feeling, non-abrasive, synthetic turf. Artificial surfaces have been fully embraced at international level; the RFU (Rugby Football Union) and IRB (International Rugby Board) both acknowledge its suitability for training.

We are competitively priced, and hire includes use of the changing rooms, showers and lockers in the Sports Academy, with ample free parking on-site. We can also offer a licensed bar and lounge at extra cost.

We are a chosen training venue for:
• Gloucester Rugby Club
• Cinderford RFC
• Hartpury RFC
• Hereford FC

We have also hosted a variety of professional clubs from across the country, which have used our facilities for training prior to their games including Bradford City FC, Samoa Rugby, Georgia Rugby, Australia Schools Rugby and Ireland Rugby.

“The facilities offer a secure, state-of-the-art environment in which to train.”
Allan Lewis, Wales, Llanelli, Moseley and current Head Coach of Hartpury RFC

“Hartpury has great facilities and Gloucester train here on a regular basis. The rugby pitch offers a fantastic playing surface and I would certainly recommend it.”
Bryan Redpath, Scotland, British Lions and current Director of Rugby at Gloucester Rugby
