How to Apply

If you have read through the prospectus and found a course you think is suitable, the next step is to complete an application form and send it to the Admissions Office. Application forms can be downloaded as a PDF below or call our enquiry line on 01452 702345 for one to be sent to you.

Please note that there are three individual application forms – one for A levels, one for Equine and one for all other College courses. Please ensure that you have filled in the correct form.

When should I apply? We welcome applications for September 2012 entry from October 2011 onwards. Our courses are extremely popular and we would encourage you to apply as early as possible. You do not have to wait for your GCSE results.

What happens next?

Once we receive your application we will write within five working days to invite you to attend an interview along with a
written assessment with a member of staff on your chosen course. The interview is an opportunity to discuss the course content, ask any questions you may have and have a tour of the Hartpury campus if you choose to. If you are unable to attend the interview date set for you please let us know as soon as possible so we can rearrange it for you.

If you are successful at interview, we will send you written confirmation of your offer on the course, subject to you achieving the required GCSE grades and any other conditions specified. Accommodation and transport details will also be sent with your offer letter if these were requested at your interview. You cannot apply for accommodation or transport unless you have been offered a place. If you already have your GCSE results, please bring your certificates with you to your interview.

If you have met the entry requirements for your chosen course you will receive confirmation from us and your place is secured. If you have not met the entry criteria please still send your GCSE results to us and a member of staff will contact you to discuss alternative courses you could study in your chosen subject area.

Once you have received your GCSE results you will need to send a copy to the Admissions Team either by fax, post or by emailing a scanned copy to admissions@hartpury.ac.uk. Please note that this is an extremely busy time and we process a large volume of  results at the same time. We are unable to acknowledge that we have received individual results so while we understand that you
may be anxious, please do try and be patient!

During the summer, prior to you starting your course, we will send you details about your joining instructions which provide  information about induction and enrolment (available on the Hartpury website from 1st June 2012). There will be various forms you will need to sign and return to us before you join us in September.

You attend your induction/enrolment day as stated in your joining instructions and you start your course on the same day.
