Denise Gajadhar (St Lucia)
“Life in Gloucestershire is completely different to that in St Lucia, however the International Team and my Agricultural Business Management lecturers couldn’t have made me feel more welcome and they are always so helpful and supportive. The ‘International’ community spirit on-campus is fantastic - when I return to St Lucia, I will take home with me so many happy memories.”

Xin Qian (China)
BA in Sports Business Management
"I've taken a international collaborative programme run by Hartpury College and Wuhan Institute of Physical Education major in sports business management. It is a challenge when I take the Level three courses directly when I first came here, but I've learnt a lot during this challenging process. After almost a year at Hartpury, I definitely love this place. You can always get help when problems come to you, no matter if it is about your lectures, assignments or your social life - in here, people are friendly and helpful. I will graduate in the summer of 2010 and I really want to continue my Master in Sports Management in this awesome place which brings me a lot of joy."
Leonard Chielo (Nigeria)
MSc Equine Science
"My experience as a masters degree student of Equine Science at Hartpury College has been awesome and at the same time challenging, but I have been growing from strength to strength with the help of my tutors and friends. The high standard of staffing and facilities on campus made Hartpury an outstanding citadel of learning. I can't rate the amazing Graduate Assistantship offer that was made to me by Hartpury College enough, which has not just been my financial back-bone but also a source of knowledge and inspiration. I would highly recommend Hartpury College to every student who wishes to build a resounding academic career at advanced, undergraduate and postgraduate levels."

Darcy Bornemann (USA)
"I decided to come to Hartpury for my undergraduate semester abroad as I thought it would be an interesting experience to live in another country for while. It turned out to be that and so much more. I had an absolute blast, made wonderful friends and discovered things about myself I never would have imagined. Hartpury impressed me with the academic level of knowledge required and for the first time felt truly challenged in my Equine studies. With the things I learned I could strongly support my personal philosophies I applied in the industry. After returning to finish my Undergraduate degree and a few months in the "real world" I was craving more knowledge to support what I was practicing. I remembered Hartpury and the wealth of knowledge available and decided to obtain my Masters in Equine Science through them.
To help me fund my studies I applied to be a Graduate Assistant (GA) and was accepted to the Student Advisor team. We offer support for students by aiding with understanding of University policies, navigating necessary paperwork, as well as aiding with office duties (i.e. data entry, phone calls and emails). The Masters course has broadened my knowledge well beyond mere facts and has provided tools for remaining on the forefront of all aspects of the equine industry. In this way, philosophies in practice will be what is truly in the best interest of the human and animal."

Hannah Mallinson (Norway)
BSc Equine Science
"When I came to Hartpury five months ago, I was a long way from home, scared, unsecure, homesick and not at all sure if I was going to stay. Fortunately I gave it a try, and I haven't regretted it. As an international student you are very well looked after here at Hartpury. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there's always someone who'll have time for a chat, be it personal or study related.
I'm in my first year of the B.Sc. (Hons) Equine Science course, and I love it! It's a lot of hard work, and a lot of information and detail, but it is so worth it. Starting the second semester now and seeing how things link together with what I learnt in the first semester gives me a real boost. It means that I've learnt something! Our lecturers really know what they're talking about and have all got hands on experience on what they're talking about. Some were even students at Hartpury themselves!"
Laura Dietrick (USA)
"The transition from Delaware Valley College in America to Hartpury and England in general has been an exceptionally easy one for me to make. The professors and faculty have been very helpful and accommodating in answering any and all questions I may have had along the way. I would recommend studying here to anyone who is thinking of studying abroad; the classes and coursework are challenging but rewarding and it is definitely fascinating to learn how another country works and manages a certain industry.
Specifically, the equine facilities at the college are amazing and I definitely feel as if I have learned a lot, both academically and practically, that I will be able to take back to America with me at the end of the semester."
Melissa Shainline (USA)
"Coming to Hartpury College has been one of the best decisions I have made. Studying here has opened my mind to many different methods of the horse industry compared to America. The academics at Hartpury seemed more challenging but the tutors were very helpful with the adjustment. This learning experience has been truly positive and one that I'll never forget!"
