In the rapidly expanding sport and outdoor adventure industries, there is an ever-growing demand for qualified and highly motivated coaches, instructors and managers who enjoy the challenges of sport and outdoor activities.

Our Sport, Outdoor Adventure and Uniformed Public Services courses combine both theoretical teaching and practical sessions, enabling you to utilise the extensive range of facilities that are available both on and off campus. An ongoing multi-million-pound investment programme to build state-of-the-art sports facilities will ensure you have access to some of the best training and teaching resources available.

The Hartpury Academy of Sport has been developed to enable talented rugby, football, netball and golf players, high calibre riders and potential young rowers and modern pentathletes to continue their academic education while further developing their abilities and potential to become elite athletes within their chosen sport. Our strong and wide-ranging links with sports and outdoor adventure industries, as well as the armed forces, ensure that you will have the opportunity to gain work experience with a variety of organisations based in the UK and Europe. There is also the opportunity to undertake various short courses to enhance your CV further.

All of our courses are designed to provide clear progression, whether it enables you to go on to gain further academic qualifications, progress to university or to go straight into the world of work. Our students have successfully gained employment in a range of occupations including fitness instructors, leisure centre managers, sports marketers, PE teachers and coaches.
