Veterinary
Nursing
We offer a Level 3 Diploma approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to enable you to qualify and register as a Veterinary Nurse. This qualification is designed to support the preparation of veterinary nurses for professional registration on the RCVS Register of Veterinary Nurses.
It is mandatory for those seeking entry to the RCVS Register to be in possession of an ‘approved qualification’ and the Level 3 Diploma Veterinary Nursing falls into this category. The primary functions of the qualification allow you to gain the veterinary nursing knowledge and skills requisite to safe and effective practice, and develop your skills of enquiry and reflection that are essential to lifelong professional learning and development. The programme will include a balance of teaching and learning strategies, designed to help you develop knowledge, understanding and effective clinical skills.
Employment in a suitable approved training veterinary practice will allow you to develop and foster the acquisition of ‘day one’ clinical skills and the development of competence and confidence in preparation for the responsibilities of professional registration and practice.
