Criteria
- Awards will be allocated in open competition at Associate Faculty level rather than discipline level.
- Both existing Postgraduate students and new applicants are eligible for these awards.
- All awards are made primarily on the basis of academic merit; and secondly on role skills.
- GAs will not necessarily be undertaking a Postgraduate programme in the subject area in which they will support.
- All GAs must, as a minimum, take the Associate Faculty induction short training course.
- All GAs must speak and write English to a high standard.
- GAs can, depending on the requirements of the Associate Faculty, be asked to undertake a wide range of duties. These could include helping with tutorials and seminars, assistance with lab classes, assistance on field classes, dissertation advice surgeries, administrative support for teaching, or research assistance to academic staff.
Applicants should note that they will be subject to a criminal records check i.e. CRB check.
