The Course:
This 2 day course provides a follow on from the introduction to Beekeeping and covers the BBKA syllabus for the basic qualification. Students will be given the theoretical and practical instruction to enable them to manage a normal size colony of bees. Ample opportunity will be given to handle and inspect colonies of bees during the course.
Entry Qualifications:
Students should have attended the introduction to Beekeeping course or its equivalent, alternatively they should have at least one years experience in the managing of a colony of honey bees.
Additional Information:
Beekeeping protective suits are available to hire at £6.00 per course – please advise us on the size required at the time of booking. Wellington boots are recommended. You will also need to bring a notepad and pen.
