Projects

Hartpury College’s CfRB has a policy of delivering projects to provide solutions to local, regional and national challenges. All projects are designed to support achievement of the College Mission Statement through innovative activities to meet the needs of employers and individuals. Project funding is currently provided through The South West RDA, Skills Funding Agency/ESF Co-financing and New Engineering Foundation and commercial organisations.

Project funding is aimed at priority areas and sectors. Currently these are;

  • Providing skills training to employed and unemployed people
  • Engagement with employers to identify staff skill needs
  • Developing and piloting innovative learning methods
  • Meeting the needs of learners in the rural community
  • Enabling innovation and knowledge exchange

Current projects focus on:

South West Enabling Environmental Technologies (SWEET)

Workforce Skills in Herefordshire and Worcestershire (Time 4 Business, Three Counties Fresh Start Academy)

Knowledge exchange (KTEN, Innovate to Educate and SWAIP)

Helping Communities (Gloucester Works, 6 Months Unemployed, Barton & tredworth, Wiggly Worm)

Past projects include

Training for Farmers through the SWELBC Vocational Training Scheme

Training in Gloucestershire through the SMART project

Upskilling for the food and drink sector

Training Need Analysis for the SW Food and Drink sector

Increasing Skills in food and drink manufacturing

Improving Access for Women in the Food and Drink Sector

SW Rural Enterprise Gateway
