Coronado Son is a very promising young stallion who represents the very best blood lines in the world combined with excellent movements, fantastic temperament and easy going attitude. He is line bred for Showjumping via Int'l. GP Show Jumper Rebel I Z (Ramiro - Almé Z), fullbrother of the worlds most successful mare, Olympic Gold and WC winner Ratina Z!
His sire, Int'l SJ Coronado I, comes from the famous Holstien mare family 730b. He scored 10 for his Jump at his stallion test in Adelheidsdorf 1993 and is a sire with unlimited jumping ability which he reliably passes on to his progeny. He not only influenced Holstein breeding but also Danish Warmblood and has sired numerous excellent performance horses such as Cajus, Cara Mia and Cordano and several approved sons, i.e. Capanos, Carry, Cassaro, Couleur and Coronado Son.
The paternal grandsire, WC winner Corrado I (by Cor De La Bryere), won many Grand Prix including Aachen - the toughest in the world.
Coronado Son's Dam, Ravella, has an exceptional pedigree that includes the world famous sires Ramiro, Almé Z, Ibrahim, Landgraf, Ladykiller xx and Gotthard - all of great importance for the show jumping sport of today. Ravella is also the dam of successful Show Jumper Alessio, by Adlantus AS. The maternal Grandsire Latus I unfortunately died at the early age of eight whilst standing at Zangersheide stud. His Dam, Folia, produced five top stallions (Capitol I, Capitol II, Latus I, Latus II and Cellebrio) and several premium mares including Lektion, who won the European Eventing Championship ridden by Imke Dehm.
This very promising young stallion has successfully competed at dressage, qualifying for both the Summer and Winter Championships in 2008. He consistently jumped double clears at BSJA Discovery level and started successfully competing at BSJA Newcomers level. In 2009 Coronado Son continued to develop perfectly according to training plan, competing Show Jumping at Newcomers level and Young Dressage horse classes.
Coronado Son has combined the stud season 2010 with continued education and competition. He has a new rider; Chloe Aston (European and World Champion medalist in Children on Horses) and the partnership is working excellently. They have qualified for both Newcomers and Foxhunter 2nd rounds 2011 and qualified for Scope 2010. Coronado Son is consistently jumping double clears at this level. He will now start to compete at 1.30 level and will be aimed at international shows this winter.
Coronado Son will focus on competition for the rest of the breeding season and is no longer available at stud. He will be back for a limited season 2011.
The first foals by Coronado Son were born 2008 and look very promising. Mare owners are very pleased with their foals and several have used Coronado Son again for their mares.
