The equine industry is a diverse and exciting place to work. The British Horse Industry Confederation report that almost 270,000 people work in the equine industry and it is worth £7 billion a year.

There is no better place to develop your career in this fast growing and challenging industry than UWE Hartpury, which is one of the largest and most respected equine education centres in the UK.

This two year programme takes a very practical approach to learning which involves yard duties and a period of work placement between the 1st and 2nd year of study.

Students enrol on this programme from a wide range of equestrian backgrounds and study key topics including equine anatomy and physiology, nutrition, health and disease, and performance

Whilst studying you will also benefit from access to our Animal Science Laboratories, the Hartpury Yard and Therapy Centre, a variety of horses, experienced lecturers and supportive year tutors.
