Coaching Pedagogy

The focus of the Coaching Pedagogy research group is applied research seeking to shape the design of innovative coach education resources and experiences. Using the lived experience of coaches as a focus and foundation for enquiry, current concerns include the study of coach behaviour and biography, challenges to model based pedagogy and strategies for supporting reflection in mentoring relationships. Applying current theory to ‘on the ground’ community seminar events and curriculum based experiments, the group aims to develop contextually sensitive opportunities for coach development that addresses practical issues whilst contributing to scholarly activity.
