Gundog Training (Novice)

The course

This course is primarily aimed at the young gundog that has done little work. Dogs are required to be at least eight months old. The course is designed to illustrate a method of training the gundog so that it is a pleasure to be with in all aspects.

The course runs over 6 consecutive Sunday mornings

Areas of Study:

• Control by voice, hand signal and whistle
• Retrieving
• Hunting under control
• Steadiness

Entry qualifications:

None.

Additional Information:

Students are required to bring strong outdoor boots, suitable outdoor clothing, packed lunch and drinks. Dog restraint, water and bowl and poop scoop – owners are reminded that their dogs are their own responsibility.
