Beekeeping for All

The course

This 5 day course will provide an introduction to Beekeeping for those with little or no previous beekeeping knowledge or experience. Students will be given the theoretical and practical information to enable them to take up Beekeeping with a small number of colonies.

During the course students will gain practical experience with plenty of time manipulating and inspecting colonies of bees and will also cover the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) Basic Examination syllabus. The course will also cover the contents of both Introduction to Beekeeping and Beekeeping Improvers.

On completion of this course the students will be able to manage a small number of colonies of bees

Additional Information:

Beekeeping protective suits are available to hire at £6 per course, please advise us at the time of booking. Wellington boots are recommended. Please bring a notepad and pen.
