The Amenity Horticulture (Landscaping) course will provide you with all the practical skills and knowledge needed to enable you to effectively carry out a wide variety of horticultural tasks. Areas of study may include establishing and caring for outdoor plants, constructing and maintaining ponds, paths, fences and other landscape features and maintain horticultural equipment and machines. You will also be able to meet and link with others within the landscaping industry, enabling you to share your experiences, exchange ideas and broaden your understanding of horticultural developments.

Opportunities to achieve certificates of competence in a range of areas relevant to your work are also available. For example: The Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 requires anyone who uses pesticides in the course of their business or employment to have received adequate instruction and guidance in the safe, efficient and humane use of pesticides. Therefore we offer the Safe Use of Pesticide Certificate of Competence - (Pesticide Training - PA1 & PA6) within your Apprenticeship.
