Helen originally graduated from Warwickshire College with a BA (Hons.) in Equine Studies and worked as an equine veterinary nurse for a number of years.
She then returned to her studies to qualify as an RCVS registered small animal veterinary nurse in 2004. Since then Helen has worked in a range of different practices, including an emergency OOH practice and a spell as a locum veterinary nurse.
Helen gained the RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in 2010.She joined the Hartpury veterinary nursing department as a lecturer in 2013 and is currently working hard to achieve her teaching qualifications.
She thoroughly enjoys using her extensive experience to educate students and equip them with the skills and knowledge to become professionals.Outside work, Helen loves to travel to far flung places with her husband and has recently undertaken volunteer projects in both the Philippines and Borneo.The rest of the time she can be found trying to keep pace with her very lively dog ‘Sadie’.
