ALICE TOCKNELL - PROGRAMME MANAGER AND LECTURER IN SPORT PERFORMANCE

Alice joined Hartpury in 2010 after the successful completion of a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, and Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Sport and Exercise Science (Sport Psychology) at the University of Gloucestershire.


During her time at Gloucestershire Alice focused studies primarily in the sport psychology field with research on athlete well-being and an athlete-centred approach to sport. Alice joined Hartpury as a Further Education Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Further Education alongside teaching.

After 3 years gaining teaching experience Alice made the move across to the higher education sport department in January 2014 fulfilling the position of Higher Education Lecturer in Sport and Sport Placements and Outreach Coordinator. Alongside this Alice provides support to Hartpury’s 8 elite sports academies as a Performance Lifestyle Advisor. Performance lifestyle is a relatively new service at the college and Alice has a particular interest in research across this broad area.
