DR. GARETH KNOX - SENIOR LECTURER PROGRAMME MANAGER

Gareth graduated from Swansea University in 2007 with an honours degree in Sports Science. This was followed by completion of an MSc in Sports Science. Gareth completed a PhD at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff in 2012 entitled ‘The effects of a school-based cross-curricular physical activity intervention on cardiovascular disease risk factors in low socioeconomic status adolescents'.


Gareth has also been part of a research team investigating the prevalence of cardiovascular disease risk factors in a sample of school children from South Wales. Gareth has previously been employed as a professional rugby player with Bath Rugby and has played semi-professional rugby in the Welsh Premiership.
