Hartpury’s link with the University of the West of England (UWE) started in 1997 when Hartpury was awarded Associate Faculty status. We recognised how vital it was that Hartpury students graduated with a degree validated from a well respected and resourced university. UWE was the obvious choice, being the largest provider of higher education in the South West of England, with over 20,000 students from over 140 countries worldwide, and located just 40 miles away.
As one of the leading post-1992 universities for research and one of the fastest growing research institutions in the country, UWE is committed to finding practical solutions to real problems. UWE and Hartpury's partnerships brings together knowledge, experience and facilities to deliver the very best student experience.
So what does this partnership mean for you?
Academically you will benefit from obtaining an UWE degree and still enjoy all the benefits you get from studying in Hartpury's specialist animal and land, sport and equine campus.
In addition, as a Hartpury student on a UWE degree you will gain automatic membership to both the Hartpury Students' Union (HSU) as well as the UWE Students’ Union and there is the opportunity to represent Hartpury in National British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions across Men’s Rugby, Men’s Football, Netball and Golf.
