Working with School and Colleges

Here at Hartpury, we are committed to widening participation in education and showcasing what studying at college and university life is really like. We work closely with schools, colleges, students, teachers and careers advisors to ensure individuals get appropriate advice and guidance, to allow them to make informed decisions about potential study options and future careers. Our aim is to inform, inspire and educate individuals to reach their potential and make the right decision to suit their individual ‘wants, needs and aspirations’.

As an institution we are passionate about advancing awareness of environmental, life and social sciences through our distinct subject areas: Animal Science and Agriculture, Equine and Sport. We offer a range of A Levels and Diplomas through our college (16 to 19) provision, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for those interested in pursuing university level studies.

Below you will find useful information to support you and your students in their career progression. We run a number of events internally for KS4/5 students and are on the road regularly to talk about Hartpury and all of the opportunities on offer. Check out our ‘Events near you’ section, to find out where we will be next!

School and College Careers Fairs

We visit a large number of schools and colleges in the Three Counties area and beyond every year. We are able to provide information on entry requirements, courses, student life, as well as the unique opportunities available at Hartpury.

University Centre Taster Days

We offer both ‘Be Inspired’ & ‘Masterclass’ taster days for students in Years 10, 11 and 12. These days offer opportunity to learn more about specific subject areas, courses, careers and our facilities on campus. These events are arranged on an individual basis and are subject to availability.

Both of our ‘Be Inspired’ and ‘Masterclass’ days consist of a number of different activities: A guided tour of the campus and specialist facilities; Q&A session with Staff and Students; 2 x taster sessions relevant to your chosen area (these will be in-depth and course specific for Masterclasses); Careers seminar which will focus on progression routes.

Guided Campus Tours

We are able to provide guided campus tours for individuals and groups on a weekly basis between 10am and 4pm. Tours are conducted by our experienced team of Student ambassadors. If you are interested please fill in the enquiry form or e-mail enquire@Hartpury.ac.uk
