Why study Agriculture at Hartpury?

Whether you’re studying Agriculture, Engineering, Farm Mechanisation or Gamekeeping, our 500-hectare farm estate will be your classroom.

You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in every aspect of farming and estate operation; whether it’s milking in the dairy unit, maintaining farm machinery or active participation in routine farm and gamekeeping duties.

Work experience is an essential element and students can get involved with activities such as lambing, calving and sheep shearing.

Hartpury’s commercially run Home Farm and newest development at Okle Clifford Farm are the settings for all of our agriculture, game and land-based students.

So whether you want to be a farm or dairy herd manager, a shepherd, a mechanic for farm machinery or a gamekeeper, then we can offer you the right course to get there.
