Course Overview

Studying business will give you a well-developed understanding of a broad range of business topics. On this course you'll study marketing, business finance, people in business and the operations of business.

In your first year we'll cover the principles of these topics and how they are applied in real businesses.

In the second year we look at the strategies that businesses employ in a range of scenarios and using real company examples, we will analyse the decisions businesses make.

Through your study of business, you'll develop analytical and evaluation skills, and will examine problems from a variety of stakeholder perspectives.

If you're looking to develop a good understanding of how businesses operate and are someone who is wanting to lead and motivate others, then this is the course for you. You need to be a logical thinker, and someone who can voice their opinion and can participate in debate and discussion.

Our Business lecturers are also examiners with the relevant exam boards and therefore can further enhance your skills required.

GCSE | You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include Mathematics and English Language, as well as:

Grade 6 or above in Maths, English Language and Business (if a Business GCSE has been studied).
