Each application is evaluated on its own merits, with applicants being 19 and over on 1st September in the year they wish to study. English and maths skills should be at a GCSE grade D or above, or the applicant should be able to demonstrate a comparable level of skill achieved through their work experience. The learning on the course is supported by the use of online resources, so an average level of computer literacy is required.
All applicants will have the opportunity to discuss their personal situation and long term university goals with a member of the Diploma academic team.
Hartpury’s world class equine facilities are used not only for formal learning but also for work experience, including at our own commercial Equine Therapy Centre and in our events department, supporting our international showpiece events and other high quality competitions, with the chance to work with some of the stars of the equine world. Many students also complete work placements out in industry, including at top yards and riding centres and in marketing and commercial roles.
Our degree courses are all developed with support from employers, ensuring that when you graduate you will have the skills and qualifications that they want. That’s why 98.6%* of our graduates are in employment or further study six months after graduating (*DHLE data from 2014-15 graduate survey).
Plus don’t forget that if you are enrolling on a Hartpury University Centre course after completing your A Levels or Diploma at Hartpury, you will be entitled to a £500 cash bursary in each year of the course!Find out more
