2008-9 saw him play regularly for Moseley in National League Division One, represent England U20s in the Six Nations and also make his first team breakthrough for Gloucester.

2010-11 was a superb season for Trinder as he scored 13 tries in 23 appearances and represented England against the Barbarians and the Saxons in the Churchill Cup before agreeing a new contact with Gloucester.

Henry also trained with England ahead of the RBS Six Nations tournament.
