Hartpury College

Business Studies

Course Overview

The course will give you a good understanding of a broad range of topics relevant to the working world. You will gain knowledge and skills that will be useful in whatever you do in the future, whether it is running a multi-million pound organisation, working as a surgeon, or managing your own personal finances.

Business Studies will help you develop analytical and evaluation skills and examine problems from a variety of perspectives. If you want to develop a good understanding of how businesses operate and learn how to motivate and lead others then this course is for you. You need to be a logical thinker, unafraid of new challenges and willing to participate in debate and discussion.

A-level Business Studies can be studied alongside every other course we offer without exception. Many of our students also take PE, Psychology and Biology, although due to the nature of the course it works well with Mathematics and many of our students go onto study Business and Finance or Accountancy at university.

A-level Business Studies provides an interesting and diverse A-level option in addition to other A-level choices.

Our students have gone on to some fantastic careers in a wide range of industries and enjoyed some exceptional work placements all over the world, helping them open doors to their dream careers. You can read our students’ stories here
