Study Mathematics if you see yourself working in the fields of science, medicine, business, engineering or technology, or if the physical world holds your interest. Mathematics will help you develop your curiosity, your logical thinking and your study skills – all necessary if you wish to identify and solve problems and therefore become valuable to industry, commerce and the public sector.
GCSE mathematical skills apart, you will need the following analytical skills:

• The ability to manipulate precise and intricate ideas
• The ability to follow complex reasoning
• The ability to construct logical arguments and expose illogical ones

Five GCSEs at grade A*-C, which must include English Language, Mathematics and Science.
To study A-level Mathematics you will need: Grade A or above in Mathematics GCSE
Students under 19 years of age on 31 August 2016: Tuition is free for the duration of your course (full-time courses only).
Educational visits charge: An annual £65 fee is payable for all Further Education students and covers the cost of outside visits, the engagement of special speakers and a contribution to the cost of administration.
When should I apply
We welcome applications for September 2016 entry from October 2015 onwards. You do not have to wait for your GCSE results.
