Level 3 Diploma Horse Management
This course gives you the opportunity to progress further with your studies and continue to enhance your theory based knowledge and practical skills by utilising the outstanding equine facilities on campus.
You will be involved in the daily care of the horses through yard duties which will develop the practical skills necessary to gain employment within the equine industry e.g. a riding school, competition yard, livery yard or therapy centre. Successful completion of this programme will allow you to progress onto Higher Education.
Hartpury’s outstanding equine facilities include:
- Four indoor arenas, including our multi-million pound Indoor Championship Arena complex with seating for 600
- Three outdoor arenas, including a world class championship arena
- Stabling for 280 horses
- Equine Veterinary and Therapy Centre, including aquafit and high speed treadmills, solarium and other therapy systems
- Cross-country courses up to FEI***

Level 3 Extended Diploma subjects grades
Successful completion of the Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma Horse Management at merit level or above plus a recommendation from a personal tutor.
Students under 19 on 31 August 2016 are free (full time courses only). Examination fees for main qualifications are also free.
Students aged 19 to 23 may need to pay tuition fees. We may be able to waive your fees if you are unemployed and receiving Jobseekers Allowance, studying your first full level 2 qualification or level 3 qualification. Please visit this page for more information.

Educational visits charge: An annual £65 fee is payable for all students and covers the cost of outside visits, special speakers and a contribution to the cost of administration.
When should I apply
We welcome applications for September 2016 entry from October 2015 onwards. You do not have to wait for your GCSE results.
