Sport Studies (Top Up)UCAS CODE
Designed as an additional qualification, the Sports Studies top-up course covers a wide range of areas within the field of sport and will build upon the knowledge gained during your previous course.
Core modules will ensure that you gain and develop essential key skills whilst optional modules will allow you to tailor the course to your individual interests and career aspirations - whether this lies in coaching, teaching, health and fitness, sports development or performance analysis.
Teaching methods consist of a stimulating mixture of formal lectures, academic expertise, group seminars, practical sessions and utilising our extensive range of on-site facilities. Seminars and workshops are interactive and may involve hypothetical problem-solving and case studies. You will be expected to prepare for sessions by conducting research around various subject areas. In addition, your personal tutor will review and discuss your progress with you and will be available for advice.
The Sport Studies programme can be completed full time in one year; part time routes are available and should be planned with your programme manager

Successful completion of a Higher National Diploma or Foundation degree in a Sports Science / Sports Coaching or Management related subject.

There were some mixed fortunes this week, with a shock result for Hartpury’s top rugby players, as well as some commendable performances including a massive victory for the women’s rugby stars and good efforts from two non-academy sporting teams on their first major outing of the season.
