Course Overview

This programme is designed for FdSc Equine Veterinary Nursing Science graduates who would like to gain a BSc (Hons) top-up qualification.

This course builds on the specialist veterinary nursing knowledge developed whilst studying for your Foundation degree and will develop your skills of enquiry and reflection required for lifelong professional learning and development as a safe and effective practitioner. You will complete an undergraduate research project as part of this qualification.

A range of optional subjects are offered allowing you to tailor your degree to your own areas of interest and career aims. These will cover areas such as ethics, business and therapy and rehabilitation.

Hartpury is an RCVS veterinary nursing practical examination centre and the outstanding facilities include a veterinary nursing clinical skills area, Equine Therapy Centre, small animal house, hydrotherapy treadmill, commercial farm and equine centre. 

The programme is completed full time over one academic year.

Applicants must hold a Foundation degree in Equine Veterinary Nursing Science AND be registered with the RCVS.
