A Brief History of Hartpury Horse Trials

This year sees the return of the Hartpury Horse Trials for the 7 th year. For the 4 th year, we are very grateful to Mitsubishi Motors for their continued generous support and sponsorship.

Starting as a CCI* and CCI** event in 2002 and then in 2006, expanding to include CIC*** the Hartpury Horse Trials have gone from strength to strength, missing only one year in 2007 due to the great Gloucestershire floods.

The event has attracted big names over the years including the likes of Zara Phillips, Oliver Townend, William Fox-Pitt, Bettina Hoy and other world renowned stars of Eventing.

The 2008 CIC*** horse trials were won by Cumbrian rider, Ruth Edge on P.C. Wilson who received a Mitsubishi Outlander as 1 st prize, Kindly donated by Mitsubishi Motors who have donated another for this year’s event.
